TASUED Announces Application for Admission into Free

Who can apply?
(i) All candidates who have chosen TASUED as their first most preferred institution in the 2012 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, and have scored a minimum of 180 in the March, 2012, JAMB examination.

(ii) ALL Candidates seeking for a change of institution to TASUED through JAMB, having scored a minimum of 180 in the March, 2012, JAMB examination.

(iii) All candidates who scored below 10 marks at the Post UTME Screening exercise are also eligible to apply.

The category of candidates in ii above should report at the Admissions Office for further processing of their requests for change of institution.

How to purchase Application forms
(i) Obtain a scratch card of TASUED Post-UTME Registration form after paying the sum of five thousand naira (#5,000) only through P.O.S at the university Bursary.

(ii) The scratch card shall have two numbers: PIN and Serial Number

(iii) The sale of scratch cards and on-line registration commences on Friday, 25th January, 2013 and closes on Monday, 28th January, 2013.

(iv) Any scratch card not used by Tuesday, 2 9th January, 2013 will no longer be valid for on-line registration on the University website.

METHOD OF APPLICATION (LOG IN PROCEDURE)

Post-UTME registration forms with brochure can be obtained ON LINE through the following step by step procedure:

Go to a cyber cafĂ© or anywhere you can have an internet access. Visit the TASUED website by typing www.tasu.edu.ng on the web page. Click Post-UTME Registration Form. Candidates are STRONGLY advised to Click the University Degree Brochure and CAREFULLY study the O’Level requirements for the courses they have applied, BEFORE registration on the TASUED website www.tasu.edu.ng

1. Use your Pin and Serial Number to access your TASUED On-line Registration Form.

2. Complete the Registration Form by providing the required information;

3. Submit your Form by clicking submit button.

4. Print out a receipt containing your passport photograph in colour. The printed receipt will serve as candidate’s identification/admission card for the screening test.

NOTE: IJMB not acceptable

False information provided by any candidate shall be detected by the special TASUED software application and such candidates shall be disqualified.

SCREENING EXERCISE
Screening exercises are mandatory requirements for entry into Tai Solarin University of Education. TASUED PUTME screening is through electronic test.

E-TEST SCREENING & RESULT
Electronic Screening Test shall be conducted on Tuesday, 29th January, 2013 for all UTME candidates at the University Main Campus, Ijagun by 8.00a.m.

Result shall be released immediately after the e-test (same day 29th Jan 2013)

PAYMENT & REGISTRATION
Successful candidates should pay all fees fully and register on or before Friday 2nd February 2013

Matriculation ceremony is scheduled for 7th February 2013 and only candidates that have fully paid and registered would be allowed to matriculate.

Nigerian Agip Oil Company Limited (NAOC) Joint Venture in pursuance of its Community Development Programme invites suitably qualified candidates for its 2012/2013 Tertiary Institutions Scholarship Awards Scheme.

1. CATEGORIES OF AWARDS
a. Host Communities Merit Award: For applicants strictly from NAOC host communities.
b. National Merit Award: For applicants from non-host communities.

2. ELIGIBILITY
To qualify for consideration applicants MUST be:
a. Registered FULL TIME undergraduates in Nigerian Tertiary Institutions.
b. Certified 100 level students at the time of application.

NOTE: The following categories of students should NOT apply:
a. 200 level students and above.
b. Current beneficiaries of similar awards from other companies and agencies.
c. Dependants of employees of NAOC, AENR and NAE.

Only indigenes of NAOC host communities in Bayelsa, Delta, Imo and Rivers states SHOULD apply for the Host Communities Merit Award.

Only candidates studying Engineering, Geology and Geosciences are eligible for the National Merit Award.

3. METHOD OF APPLICATION
To qualify for consideration applicants must complete their online application and verify their application details on or before 17th February 2013.

All applicants for Host Communities Merit Award MUST attach current (2013–2014) Letters of Identification duly signed by:
• the current (2013) Chairman and Secretary of his/her CDC.
• bona-fide traditional/paramount ruler of the community; and,
• the current (2013) Local Government Chairman or the Secretary.

4. APTITUDE TEST
An Aptitude Test for the applicants in both Categories of Award will be conducted at the following centers:
Port Harcourt
Omoku
Yenagoa
Asaba
Lagos
Owerri
Abuja


NOTE: Candidates are to fully bear the cost of transportation to and from the Aptitude Test center.

5. SUBMISSION
Applications must not be made after the the deadline February 17th, 2013
